Happy Christmas - but now no more

Hi, I downloaded and installed the Christmas version, and the Christmas splash screen is pretty funny but only for a few days  ;)
Can I:
- replace the splash screen with the "normal" one from the previous version (which never bores) or
- disable the splash screen?

Thanks
JP

You can start program with commandline parameter /NOLOGO and splash screen will not be displayed

Wouw, A reply in just 2 minutes and 57 seconds! And that after midnight at least at my place! And it works, thanks very much!:):):)

Is there by the way a picture file that can be replaced by another one so that another splash appears?

Thanks,
JP.

You can not change whole splash, in old one was possible to change background, do not know what in christmas one.

Pitiful, but thanks anyway. Have to wait til the next release then.

Actually it is possible to change splash screen to anything one wants, using a custom-made "batlogo.xml"-file. This applies to most "regular" versions of Thebat - Home and Professional Editions.
To make such custom splash-screen definition files you must know how to work with XML files, knowing the way XML Schema (.xsd) works will help much, since schema files contain structure and rules of creation.
Basically a minimal custom splash will contain of two files - an image (jpg, bmp, png, gif) and batlogo.xml which describes what this splash is - this includes complex shapes, date-time checking (yes, TheBat! makes it possible to have different splash-screens depending on time or date) and some more things.
Placing these files into program folder will make TheBat! use it at next start.
