Address Book Encrypted ?

Hi There,

Just wondered if the TB address book is also encrypted, i.e. as in the encrypted message base with TB ver 3.95.6
Cheers

When you're using OTFE the address book is encrypted, just like the message base, else not.
You can see it for youtself, an encrypted adddress book has the extension .ebd an unencryoted address book has the extension .abd

Roelof,

That was a quick reply :D
Good news thanks. I did look for Encrypted Message Base info in the knowledge base etc...

BTW I searched and only found a file ADDRBOOK.ENI ?

That's the encrypted variety of the addrbook.ini that stores what address book files you're using.

Roelof

So I guess the address book is the file TheBat.ebd ?

Yes, that's the default name. Over here it's called something else, that's why I didn't recall the default file name right away.
I hardly have any (configurable) default filenames and directories left over here.
