how to download full gmail inbox to hdd, what to do to setup bat to do the task?

My gmail inbox is 100% full (of attachments). I want to store them in a single bat's folder to see them quickly with acdsee. What to do?  I enabled pop3 in my gmail inbox but gmail don't have instructions how to setup bat to download all messages (with attachments) to my hdd. Does anybody know?
Thanks in advance.

Go out to your google account
SHut OFF POP
Turn it back on and set it for all messages (also do you want it to delete them or leave them in that account - choose the setting you want

Open the bat and let it get them
They will fill that inbox and then you can move them OR create a filter to move them as they arrive

I've already turn on pop on gmail but bat does not receive anything. I never send/receive mail through bat (just installed it for gmail purpose). I don't know how to set it to receive gmail (ports, etc). I need step to step guide what to do on which bat's menu, what to check, uncheck, fill, etc... Like it is explained on:
https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?ctx=%67mail&hl=en&answer=12103
for other clients - but not for bat.

Just follow the same instructions for Outlook Express

http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13276

The important details are

your email address
your login and password to gmail
the outgoing (SMTP) and incoming (POP) gmail ports
Use SSL
'Require Authentication'

The rest is just fluff
