Get New Email For All error, Get New Email For All error

HI.

i have about 10 accounts set up for receiving emails from 10 different domains.

When I check the emails for each account individually, they work fine. When I use "Get New Email For All" - I some of the login attempts report an error.. as many as half for more.

The exact message is "!2/8/2007, 23:45:50: FETCH - Connect failed"

Again, this does not happen for ANY of the accounts when I check them seperately.

Please help

Peter

Wow...

I really need some help with this. Me and my company are sitting here with dollars in hand and we can't get any help? NOT GOOD.

Even if other users could point us in the right direction. Is there some documentation/FAQ explaining why this happens?

We now have more than 10 seperate email accounts set up for bat to check, but we have to click on each one of them, 1 at a time, to check emails?

Even outlook (which we are trying to get away from) can check all email accounts sequentionally by hitting one command.

2nd request - how about some help please? Honestly, this is the one thing stopping us from making a purchase.

PD

F11 will check all the accounts but your best bet is to go to the properties of each account and under options have it check every so many minutes - and you probably don't want to check them all at startup

This is a users forum and you are getting help from other users hence it won't be so fast  :)

Thanks for the reply.

I kind of came to that conclusion after reading some more. I realize now that it seems you can't get any answers unless you pay for the product. That puts people like me in a catch 22 - I could pay for the software and find that it will not work properly for me, or I can not pay for the software and maybe never find out if there is a solution.

But in response to what you suggest, no. That's the problem F11 does exactly the same thing as "Gte new Mail for All" (Alt-F2) - It attempts to check all of the email accounts but we get the errors below on some, and randomly all of the accounts:

Scheduling the email pickups is not viable for us as our connection is not always secure and we will only check email manually when we have a secure connection, but we do not want to HAVE to check each account, one by one.

Thanks for your input.

does the same happen if you quickly start a mail check on several accounts - one by one in sequence, without waiting the previous check to finish?

Try to increase the server timeot for problematic servers in Account properties -> Transport

Try also to disable Bat plugins, firewalls and antivirus apps. As I see in your log there is only one second interval between the start of fetch and the failure message, could be some of the above can't handle multiple connections and simply blocks all but one.
