RSS
Request: RSS, and a little more.., and a powerful agenda + calendar :)

Well. I use The Bat! for about four years ago. since that time I performed a great and satisfactory user experience...

but, I think they are missing two familiar features: RSS features and a powerful CALENDAR+AGENDA.

ok, I heard a lot of people in many sites and forums asking for herself: "who can want a RRS feature in a email-client software only?".
I like defenestrate this "line of thought" arguing: if they don't use/like RRS features in The Bat!... Who can want to use and AGENDA? or even more... a CALENDAR in a single email client? it's no coherence. maybe they'll kill the agenda. that's get more logic. :) hehe.

IMO i believe that RSS  it's a very useful and powerful feature... and i like to put it in exactly the same category such a CALENDAR or AGENDA.

So, When I think about The Bat, i like to think it as a whole center-manage for incoming/outcoming information... that's why it's very important for me, and I waiting for RITLABS decision to include it.

what do you people think about?

I think that the Bat should be kept as lean and mean as possible and that things like this should be Plugins. :!:

I would like to see a great HTML WYSIWYG composing scheme. They could improve what they have but a plugin is the way to go with THIS request too.

The great killer of great software is bloat, and plugins are a way to keep everyone fairly happy without turning the program into a mess that doesn't do anything correctly  8)  :)

OK, it's true, you're right. i couldn't be more agree: the great killer of a great software is bloat. :)
even more.. (indeed) plugins are the way to keep fairly happy

so please let me reformulate my request:
can Ritlabs do and official-proper-working plugin for RRS featues?  :D

it would be nice.

I trully hope that 'features' related to RSS, agendas, calendars, etc. etc. will never appear in theBat.
It's an email app, not a news reader, scheduler, personal calendar or alike. Apps that try to be an all-in-one solution for this and this and that usually don't do properly anything.
I'm pretty happy with theBat as a very powerful email client only, and hope it will never have features not related to its main purpose - otherwise it will soon become what's commonly known as bloatware.

my 2 cents
