problem with 'mail to' links

I have found that when I click on 'mail to' links, such as "mailto:sales@4Mation.co.uk". I get en error message 'cannot open file'. This used to work correctly with my Windows XP computer. The Bat is associated with 'mail to' urls. I'm using Explorer 7. Thanks for any help.

I didn't try that because I'm new to Vista and not very sure of it at the moment and don't want to mess anything up by installing an earlier version of TheBat over a later version, I don't want to risk losing any of my emails.. It's only a small problem and I can work round it. Thanks anyway.

3.99.24 is the latest version and the installer for that is considered the latest stable version.

If you are apprehensive, copy the mail folder out to the desktop, THEN install.

If anything seems to be missing highlight any folder on the folder tree and press CONTROL-ALT-SHIFT L to bring them back THEN run the maintenance center under FOLDER on the menu.

However that is a tool for your pocket; you probably won't need it at all 8)
