links are not recognized, posting text with link in it the link is not highlighted

Hello

I use The Bat 3.99.1 for testing

when I paste a piece of text ex 5 lines and somwhere in the middle there is a link http://g.com  the link is not recognized as a link and when the email reaches destination it is seen as plain text not as a clickable link.

my settings are
options preferences view plain text /rich text html
view html messege using html only
view messege with alternative layout /html and plain text version
default editor for text /html with plain text part

reply to html in plain text off

Whar could be the problem ?

regards,
Cosmin

Most likely is the line that has the link is being broken/wrapped at the right margin of the viewers window.

Try using "< >" or quotes at the start and end of the http:// link.

Or place on a line all by itself.

Due to the 'flexible' standards there is no 100 percent way of making the links work each and every time. Each mail client will handle differently.

I have tryed but it didn`t worked for me.
The same text when pasted in outlook express automatically recognizes the links.

is there any other solution?

Your link came through in the email just fine
Try going to the end of the link and adding a <return>
The link should turn blue. You can remove the <CR> after that and it should stay blue

I get tho once in a while when I paste and that has fixed it for me. It doesn't happen all the time

What editor are you using?

default editor for text /html with plain text part

I paste texts with many links i cannot hit return after each link, I have to search the link in the text hit return it`s too much.

Any other posibilities?
I wreally like this mail client for it`s filtering capabilities, but it is a must to be able to recognize the links in the pasted text, so please any other solutions...

Cosmin

You could use the MicroEd editor for these things. As that creates plain text messages, the links will be clickable.

What's the source of the texts you are copying?

I have tried with MicroEd editor it works but i would need somme bold characters and somme red letters.
the text is from an browser window.

Are the URLs clickable in the browser?

Hello
Yes of course they are clickable.
meantime it seems to work now with html with alternative plain text, option, not fully pleased, the links are green instead of blue but they work.

Thanks
Cosmin
