'Delete message from server' doesn't work

Hi,

I have a filter with the following two actions set for matching messages (pop3 acount):
- move to folder \\Accountname\Trash
- delete the message from server

the first action works fine and moves the matching messages to Trash.
The second action does not work at all. When I open my email using the webmail interface, all the emails I see in theBat Trash folder are still available in my Inbox

It's not a problem with webmail, I can see those messages from theBat too if I click Account/Dispatch mail on server/All messages

If I manually delete messages from Trash and then connect to server to get new messages, theBat deletes from server emails deleted from Trash.
So it seems that only the 'Delete message from server' action has no effect at all.

We have several theBat clients using the same email account. As we receive an enormous amount of spam, I want once any theBat client filters a message as spam, this message to be deleted from the server so that other clients don't receive it. How to do that?

Hello,

I use AntiSpamSniper Pro which can delete spam on the server:

"The plug-in has a built-in option allowing deleting spam from the server by headers. The good messages deleted by mistake from server by header can be restored within a certain period of time after deletion. The plug-in filters POP3 and IMAP accounts."

With a filter "Delete message from server", the mail which is filtered is marked to delete.

This mail will be deleted from the server when TB get to new mails for this account again.

this doesn't happen. I have theBat scheduled to get new messages every 15 mins. So mail sorted in Trash now should be deleted 15 min. later, if not immediately. - but it's not deleted at all from server. Messages are deleted from server only if I first empty the trash.

well I found that delete the message from server action actually works partially. Messages are really deleted from the server the next time you connect to get the new messages - but only if you do that from theBat's GUI. Messages are not deleted if you get new mail by using the program in command line mode.

The Bat seems to have a problem when expunge of IMAP messages is used. Sync of messages may help after the expunge command is used.

This may also be a contributor to the pop3 issue. Can you force a refresh?
