Viewmode, viewmodes does not stick

When I look at the Inbox I know that the emails are addressed to me,and when I am in the Outbox I know that the emails are from me. This is obvious. Therefore, when in my Inbox I wish to see the column FROM, and when in my Outbox I wish to see the column TO. However, I am not able to get even two so simple Viewmodes to stick. Whatever menu and whatever way of configuring I use, TB insists on showing EITHER the To column in both postboxes OR the From column.

I assume this cannot be a bug, since the need for this difference is obvious. Can anyone inform me about how I get these two Viewmodes to stick to the Inbox and Outbox respectively?

That's odd.
It's TB's default to show the From: in the Inbox and the To: in Outbox and Sent Mail.

Is there a place where I can check a box called Default settings (or something like that), which will return these default values?

try this

select Inbox, then right-click any column header, for example Subject. From the right click menu select (No View Mode). Then right click the column header again and select Message List Columns, then uncheck To

then select Sent Mail and repeat everything, just this time uncheck From

maybe first select Manage View Modes from the right click menu and make sure 'Ignore changes' is not checked
