Error reading .tbk archive, After succesful backup, can't restore :(

Hello :)
I have a terrible problem: I have imported from Outlook Express all my emails (the size of the all files in Outlook was about 10GB). Because of lack of space on my hdd, I deleted the files from Outlook.
Then, I decided to reinstall Windows. Backup'ed all my emails from The Bat (3.01), all on one big .tbk file (over 2 GB size).
Now, when I try to restore, after about 50% of importing from .tbk, I receive many error-boxes:
"Error reading file L:\back2\email.tbk" :(

What can I do ? Is possible to recover my messages ?

Tx :)

I got the very same problem. This is VERY serious. Need solution urgently.

are You trying to restore on same version when was used for backup?

First I tried to restore to newer version (3.99.30). After it failed (restored only some of the messages, some folders still empty), I rolled back to the same 3.0 I used for backup. I uninstalled TheBAT, deleted RIT registry tree, and installed the original version that I used for making a backup. It made an invitation to restore messages from backup, I agreed, and that's it. Same errors (4 of them, actually).

I tried to investigate further. I used TBK Digger utility to look inside the backup. The folders I couldn't restore actually didn't contain TBB and TBI files in backup. But I am absolutely sure they did contain messages when I did the backup.

then it seems the backup was created faulty and there is nothing you can do.

The best and most simple way to backup is to compress all folders, close theBat, and then just rar or zip the whole mail folder (or desired parts).
TheBat keeps everything important inside so there is no sense to use its own backup tool. Dedicated archivers are far more reliable and less likely to produce a damaged file, you can test the file right after creating it, and provide better compression.
