Outlook Takes over Mailto: and VCF

The Bat! professional 3.99.25

TB is my default e-mail client.

Whenever I open Outlook 2002, Outlook always takes over as the default for mailto: links and I have to go to the preferences to re-set TB as the default.

"Make Outlook the default program for E-mail, Contacts, and Calendar" is not checked in Outlook's Tools > Options > Other

Does anybody know how I can prevent Outlook from doing this?

I don't mind hacking the registry if it will solve the inconvenience.

The same here: Outlook2003 is doing that crap all the time...

The most interesting part is - I'm on LUA, it takes to add me to the admins group to be able to make the Bat! the default e-mail client, but even from LUA that crappy Outlook is able to hijack the protocol!

try setting this in Internet Explorer
Tools > Internet Options > 'Programs' tab > E-mail
choose theBat

additionaly, configure Outlook to tell it it's not default and not to check if it is.

I've already tryed all of the above - does not help.
