4.0 & IMAP issues

Hello,

I'm trying to use GMAIL with TB IMAP, but might just give up unless someone can help. :(

I have about 10k messages total in several folders and performance is horrible. At startup (and afterwards every now and then) TB starts to thrash the hard disk, which makes TB unresponsive and the whole system sluggish for about a minute. There's zero indication as to what it is actually doing. It might be my IMAP settings, but I have no idea what to change, settings are way too complicated IMO.

I also noiced that when I first set UP IMAP, TB downloaded only about 70-80% of my messages from the GMAIL server. This means that many messages are present on the web interface but absent in TB.

I also have another IMAP account which I'm trying to use just as a "forwarder" to a POP account (to download mail and move some of it to the POP account - don't ask why, I have my reasons). The filters often don't work, e.g. TB says "5 msgs filtered", while it actually doesn't move the messages.

I am still trying to use IMAP folder with the Bat but it is really not so easy ...

I am getting problem with number of messages unreaded (show a number in top folder, but non in the folder where the message is).

I am a TheBat user since versione 2.x (with Pop/SMTP), but I have to say the Thunderbird do a better job with IMAP.

Now (in 4.0.18) there is another problem: I've created filter to move certain messages into another folder (in current mailbox). Right after the program start it works fine: message dissappears from "Inbox" folder and appears into my folder. But after some time messages stops to dissappear from "Inbox" folder (but they still appears in other folder). Also I can't delete those messages from "Inbox" by "Del" key (only Shift+Del works). Re-filter command not works: it's dialog says "Messages filtered: 1", but message not changes it's location...
After program restart all works fine (for some time).
Anyone have same problem?

No, IMAP protocol handling in The Bat still is very flaky :(
