Roelof Otten: you're following a different procedure than I did when installing 4.0.18
No, you just re-phrase what I've attempted to say: 1) I log-in as an admin 2) install|update the Bat! 3) start it and assign it as the default 4) check if OS sees the Bat! as the default (Control Panel->Internet Options->Programs) 5) promote my regular account to the Administrators group 6) log off 7) log-in as my regular account 8) start the Bat! and check if it is the default (which it is by that very moment!) 9) downgrade my regular account to the LUA 10) log off 11) log-in again as regular account From now on the Bat! v4.0.18+ is no longer the default e-mail client for the LUA.

I was curious enough to check if those associations are actually NOT set in the registry - it turned out they ARE set, but it is the Bat! v4.0.18+ that THINKS they are not...

Just updated to the v4.0.24 - the same bug as in the v4.0.18, v4.0.20 - it notifyes me of not being the default e-mail client if launched from a LUA.
