Custom colours being ignored by plain text viewer?

I have recently upgraded from The Bat 3.9, where I had custom colours for displaying and editing plain text mails. Basically I prefer white text on a black background.

In V4, the custom colours don't seem to work. They are set, but ignored.

Is this a bug or has something changed I don't know about?

A little update - the plain text viewer does not seem to support custom colours properly. The rich text viewer does.

Over here custom color schemes work as intended for the editor, not that I use them, but for a trial they go just fine.

The plain text viewer supports color schemes as well, the only problem I encounter with color schemes is that the preview pane doesn't get the background right.

Yes, the background in the preview pane does not work at all with the plain text viewer. The fonts and colours do sometimes seem to work, but often after you change them once or twice the get "stuck" and you have to delete the profile.
