Download only the "From" field and "Subject"

Hi,

Is it possible to get only the "From" field and "Subject" and maybe 2 lines of the "Body", when downloading messages?

So this way I can decide if the message is important and download the rest of it if needed (maybe by selecting something like a "Download full message" option or Double Clicking the Subject or something like that.

I know there is a "Mail Dispatcher", but that needs manual intervention. Is there a way to get only the "From" and "Subject" and a few lines of the body automatically for all messages?

Closest to what you want is to set the option
'Receive header only if message size is greater then' in Account Properties -> Mail Management. Set a value of 0 or 1 KB.
However this will retrieve only headers, and not any portion of the message body. Also, if you have set received messages to be deleted from the server immediately, messages will be deleted no matter only headers have been received.

If you want this as an anti-spam measure, better get the whole messages and filter out spam with Filters. Retrieving the headers takes the same time as retrieving the whole message, in most cases (if msg is small, which is usually the case with spam).

Another option could be to use a third party product (mail proxy), but imo that makes no sense.
