Downloading email, How to get the message dispatcher to download immediately

This is probably a stupid question.

I can set The Bat to check for any emails at any time interval I like.

How do I tell the message dispatcher to download its contents without clicking on the "Start transfer" icon?  In other words i want them to go into Inbox automatically.

Many thanks

Jon

Have I said something wrong?  I was hoping for a quick reply from an administrator to my littel problem.

Hopefully

The message dispatcher won't download automatically, it's designed for manual use. So simply don't use the dispatcher but press F2 (or Alt+F2 for all accounts) to download without the dispatcher.

You can set automatic downloads per account at the account properties:
Account -> Properties -> Options -> Check 'Periodical checkin each' and set an interval.

And no you didn't say anything wrong. I guess nobody saw your first post. This is a user to user support forum, so all of us are answering questions in our free time.

Roelof,

Thank you for your answer.

I don't think I made myself clear enough, except you may have answered my question in your first sentence.

When I press F2 I always get to see the dispatcher and I have to click on the download icon to have emails arrive in my inbox.

And I have also set a time interval, but again it simply opens the dispatcher and waits for manual intervention.

I want my emails to download automatically right into my inbox without any manual intervention.  Then, when I an not in the office I can get the contents of the inbox sent to my cellphone.

Is this possible?

Thank you for your patience.

John

It should be possible to download without the dispatcher as I never use it myself. (Unless I'm testing something for somebody else.)

I guess you might have enabled this option:
Account -> Properties -> Mail management -> Mail dipatcher -> Invoke automatically at each mail check
If so, then disable that option.

Roelef,

Thank you very much indeed.  That was exactly the answer I needed.
