Checking the mailbox, Bat ignores setting to pull email manually

In the settings for each account one can set The Bat to either check the mailbox manually (F2) or have it do an automatic check at a set interval of time.

One all of our accounts we have set it to manual.  On 1 of the accounts The Bat is ignotring this and doing an automatic check every few seconds.

How can I fix this, please?

The first thing I'd try would be to change the setting for that account, save it, and close TB, open TB, change the setting back, save it, close TB, start TB again and see whether that helped.

No, it didn't work.

I have a laptop with an out of date (by a few days only) copy of The Bat.  Is there an identifiable file that holds this parameter which I can copy from the laptop to the desktop without making a mess of all the settings?

do what Roelof suggested on the laptop, then sort the files in the account folder by date and see which was just modified - that's probably the file you look for. Backup the same file on the other machine and then replace it.

BTW look at the built-in scheduler (ALT+F11), there may be a scheduled mailbox check that causes this.

bigg one, you are a star.

I had already sorted out which files were changed and had copied in the the old account.cfn and account .flb.  a) it didn't help and b) it changed too much.

But, your idea to look at the scheduler was spot on.  Somehow it had got in there.

Thank you very much indeed.
