AntispamSniper or The Bat error question

The Bat! Professional v4.0.34
AntispamSniper for TheBat! v3.0.0.9 Pro
S.O.: W2k3 Enterprise Server x64bit

I receive this error when I register AntispamSniper.

English (aprox.):
[QUOTE]! Unable to save settings! Make sure the folder 'C: \ Program Files (x86) \ The Bat! \ MAIL \ AntispamSniper \' exists and has security settings correct.[\QUOTE]

Antispamsniper say is registered, but close the bat, open and antispamsniper is not registered, and same error when register.

Any Solution??

Well, that leads to the question whether the spamsniper folder does exist (did you check it?) and whether you've got write access to it. Installing it is done via an admin account, but are you accessing it via an admin account (for Windows) too?

Antispamsniper folder exist but the default installation path is:
C:\Archivos de programa (x86)\AntispamSniper for TheBat!

not

C:\Archivos de programa (x86)\The Bat!\MAIL\AntispamSniper\

And I´m the admin (using admin account)

it's not quite clear where the program is actually installed, in
C:\Archivos de programa (x86)\The Bat!\MAIL\AntispamSniper\
or in
C:\Archivos de programa (x86)\AntispamSniper for TheBat!\
Or maybe it's installed in one of these folders but wants to save settings in the other?

Anyway, if some of the above folders does not exist, create it. Then for each folder:
- right-click it in Windows Explorer and select Properties / Security
- click Add. In the new box click Advanced, then Find Now. Select & add the 'Everyone' user, it should now appear in the list in Security tab.
- Select 'Everyone' user, then tick the box 'Full control' below. Now everyone can write to this folder.
If 'Full control' box is greyed, click 'Advanced' , then 'Owner' tab, and take ownership of the folder (make Administrators group the owner), then the box should be editable.

Hi,

AntispamSniper for the Bat! Pro, is installed in
C:\Archivos de programa (x86)\AntispamSniper for TheBat!\
(Default folder for Spanish version).

I don´t understand how the error say they it´s installed in C:\Archivos de programa (x86)\The Bat!\MAIL\AntispamSniper\ because in C:\Archivos de programa (x86)\The Bat!
don´t exist the folder MAIL, and the subfolder AntispamSniper.

In the configuration of the bat!, I select to save the data in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrador\Datos de programa\The Bat! Pwd

The plug-in stores it's settings in a separate configuration folder, not in installation folder. The default path for configuration folder is MAIL\AntispamSniper, where MAIL - is TheBat mail directory. It looks like the plug-in is unable to write the settings files to default folder.

There are two ways to resolve the problem:

- Create the folder C:\Archivos de programa (x86)\The Bat!\MAIL\AntispamSniper manually, and set for this folder the security settings allowing full access to a current user.

- Create a folder for AntispamSniper configuration files somewhere else on the local disk. Create a text file with the name antispamsniper.dir containing only one text string - the full path to created folder. Save this file to %appdata%\AntispamSniper folder (enter this path in Windows Explorer and it will open the right place).[QUOTE]

Problem resolved. Thanks.
