Signing S/MIME certificate

Hello,

I have installed my p12 cerfiticate to my The Bat! account. The Bat! tells that the certificate is valid, contains private key, and can be used for message encrypting, signature checking and TLS connections. When I try to sign a message, it tells "No signing S/MIME certificate for my@e-mail".

When I switch to CryptoAPI, where the certificate is installed as well, message appears -- "Cannot find a certificate to sign a message from my@e-mail".

The certificate itself supports siging.

Did you install your *.p12 into the "my@e-mail"'s account Properties or simply created the "my@e-mail" entry in the AddressBook?
The first one is correct.
winXP-SP3 Pro, the Bat! v4.0.38

I did the first one.

Maybe your email in the account properties and the email in the certificate are somewhat different?

There is no e-mail address in the certificate at all:
Subject: DC=org, DC=balticgrid, OU=mif.vu.lt, CN=Danila Piatov

My e-mail address is under gmail.com domain. As far as I understand, my colleagues got the same certificates (http://ca.balticgrid.org/user_doc.html) and are using them for e-mail signing.
