Wildcard SSL Certificate, how to make The Bat accept

Hello,

My ISP recently changed their SSL certificate to what they call a wildcard SSL certificate.

While all other e-mail softwares work OK with this new certificate, The Bat refuses to work with this certificate.

Everytime I try to log into my mail a/c via port 995 using The Bat, it just says,
FETCH - The server host name does not match the certificate.
even though the settings are confirmed to work ok and work perfectly well with all other email softwares.

I am using Ver. 1.62r The Bat!

You are right that The Bat! 1.62 didn't support wildcards. But if you upgrade to versio 4 of The Bat!, it will support wildcards.

is there no plugin or something that I can add to ver.1.62r which would allow it to use wildcard certificates?

Regards

no, there is no way to allow wildcards in this 6 years old version, there were no plugin interface in 1.x btw

Why are we unable to install the Digital Signature Certificated provided by Comodo in The Bat?

because it supports Outlook Express and Outlook only
