GnuPG Encryption on The Bat??

I have installed old The Bat 3.60 on my XP computer. PGP encryption works on it just fine.  I would also
like to use GnuPG email encryption.
At Tools/openPGP/choose open pgp version, the GnuPG
option is grayed out and is not available.
I have GnuPG installed at c:/program files and
Thunderbird mail uses it just fine.

What must I do to enable GnuPG in The Bat?
Thank you very much,
Casey

You need a shell for GPG. I'm using WinPT for that purpose, works fine with Vista and XP. See http://winpt.sourceforge.net/en/ for a download.

I have already installed and unstalled WinPG.  It did not accomplish what I was trying to do.  With WinPG shell you can encrypt/sign emails and files with GnuPG. TB is not necessary to do this.

I am trying to enable TB to encrypt/sign mails
directly with GnuPG.
When I am compoing an email in TB window, I would like to select from the menu: Privacy/'Encrypt when completed' and/or 'Sign when completed'.

This worked great with TB and GnuPg in my Win98 machine.

Thank you anyway

The Bat! searches for gpg.exe in the %PATH% to determine whether it can use GnuPG. If it cannot find it, than the option is greyed out.

Alternatively, The Bat! v4 reads HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GNU\GNUPG to get the path to gpg.exe if it cannot find it in the %PATH%.

I hope that if you will install v4, it will be able to find gpg.exe. Or, alternatively, make gpg.exe available in the %PATH%.
