Profiles for different configurations

Hi.

I would like to be able to quickly access different mail transport configurations, instead of having to manually change them. The reason I need these different configurations is that I sometimes have to access my email through an HTTP proxy so the transport settings vary accordingly.

Is there any way to do this? I would have thought that some kind of 'user profiles' feature would allow this kind of thing.

You cannot do that easily with TB. Some people use X-Ray Mail Assistant for that kind of purposes, they set their bat to collect from X-Ray and change X-Ray's settings.

Hi,
I am using my laptop at workplace, and also at home. At bothplaces I have different provider, who have different smtp for outgoing messages.
How can I configure my accounts outgoing messages server to make them work?In outlook, I had different profiles at different places for the same email database. In TB how I should make it work?
KMS

use Xray, configure both SMTP's in it, and in theBat set SMTP as 127.0.0.1, port 25
Then you only have to switch active smtp from Xray (I think it was even able to try next if the first doesn't respond so no need to switch, but not sure)

Hi Bigg one,

Setting SMTP as 127.0.0.1 on port 25 did not help.
TB cannot see Xray for some reason.
In Xray, I had configured SMTP Autoselect with both SMTP servers I commonly use at the two locations I work with my lap top.
Xray does not function as local server. Or just TB tries to access it on a wrong IP.
I did not see any detail which IP I should contact my local Xray...
Any clue?

Is x-ray running when you try to access it?
Is your firewall blocking x-ray?

Of course it's running. I know I am a lamer, but not that much:-)
X-Ray is listed in my Firewall exception list, so it should not be affected by my firewall settings.

Simply, my TheBat says: "relay not permitted" when I try sending a message.
Logs of x-ray show nothing. :o

Hi,
Now only Symantec Endpoint Protection would not let my sent messages on their way...
