Can't PASTE into an outgoing email

This has been happening periodically.

I open a new or reply email, provide the recipient and the subject.  Then I attempt to paste something into the Note-body from the clipboard and NOTHING HAPPENS.

It is very odd.  Sometimes, opening and then closing TheBat works.  But sometimes I canNOT paste anything and finally give up.  Trying a new outgoing message does not generally help.

The item is in the clipboard because I can open Notepad and paste into Notepad.

Ideas?

what editor You are copying to?

what data are You copying?

Using 4.1.11 (under Vista Home Premium)

I guess I'm using the native editor?  

Ah, Plain Text MicroEd editor (microstar compatible)

A url that I had copied from Firefox the other day when this cropped up.  But Also just some plain ascii text from a notepad file another time.  

It does not always happen but when it does, it persists even through closing down and reopening TheBat.

Edit to add:  Oh, the item is in the clipboard and I can paste it into a new notepad or other program.  Actually, when I attempt to paste into TheBat editor, I do see the cursor move back/forth as though something happened but NO text appears.
