Restore Bat on vista

I had to reenstall Vista and was not able to backup my bat accounts/mail. All the bat files as in the windows.old folder and I have copied them to their original location. However the installation program seems to only be able to deal with "backup" files. How do I get BAT to see or import the accounts and file without backup files?

This is somewhat urgent because the registeration information for alot of software resides in email.

Tell TB you want to create a new account.
It'll ask for a mail directory, point it you your restored mail directory.
It'll ask for an account, give it the name of your old account, it'll recognize that.

In case you were using an encrypted message base, use the same encryption settings and master password.
