Uninstalling Bat to install it again

I tried to uninstall the Bat to install it again , but it seems to me it was not uninstalled completely , because still I can see the little small icon in the task bar, but when I try to click that icon it trying to browse and locate the installed folder

When you've got a TB icon in the task bar then it's still running. That isn't consistent with what you describe.

I guess it's present in the Quick Launch Bar. That's something that you've done yourself, therefore the installation program doesn't realize that this has been done, so it won't be deleted.
TB is still properly uninstalled.

Since the program disappeared from "Add/Remove Program" Applet , how can I uninstall it ?

You've already done that then.

I do not thing so, I guess that there are entries were left over in the registry

Roelof,

zillah is probably correct in stating that there are TB "leftovers" in the registry. It is a problem I have faced many times when trying out a newer version and wanting to go back to a more stable previous version again.

zillag,
IF (and only  IF) you know your way about with registry editing you can do a Registry Search for RitLabs and remove all entries found - I assume that you have your serial number backed up somewhere.

On the other hand you can use a registry cleaning utility (there are many available) to delete all obsolete/invalid registry entries (to the uninstalled TB).

Also, the settings are not removed from

c:\Documents and Settings\...\Application Data\The Bat

when uninstalling. If not removed, they are "found" and used in the "new" installation. I found this out the hard way  :)

search the Registry for keys named "RIT" (without quotes)
In the registry Find window, check boxes "Keys" and "Match whole string only" , leave others unchecked, then do a search.
Normally you'll find 2 keys, one is
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT
and the other
HKEY_USERS\S-******\Software\RIT

Delete entire RIT keys, from the left regedit pane. Deleting the first is usually enough, this should auto-delete the other. If you use theBat from more than one Windows account, there may be more keys.
Note that your registration info is stored there, so after reinstallation you should re-enter it.
