Keeps saying I'm using a Unregistered Evaluation Copy

Hello everyone.  I hope someone can guide me in what to do here.  Every time I log into the bat, it says I am using an unregistered evaluation copy although I am a registered user.  So then, I re-enter my license and it accepts it fine, until the next time I log into the bat, same thing occurring over and over.

My emails seem to all be intact with incoming messages okay.  But not sure why the message keeps appearing and it's quite annoying.  :o

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I am using the most current version 4.2.6 Pro
Windows XP SP3

Well got it fixed somehow.  I did some registry and file cleaning today with no luck until I used my Ncleaner---which did the trick.  I'm guessing there was some straggling files which were causing some problems.  But anyway, got it fixed.  Whoo hoo!

Well, I thought this was fixed but it was temporary.  Same problem.  Anybody have this same issue and a solution?

Thanks!

My guess would be that you're using some tool that doesn't allow TB to permanently alter the registry. The only other cause I can think of would be a corrupt registry.
Check your registry, TB stores the registration info in: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT\The Bat!\RegistrationBlock

Thanks Roelof for your quick reply.

Yes, I saw this entry in the registry earlier but didn't know what to make of it.  In the data field of registrationblock it shows three dots (...)  --Could this be the problem?
Tthanks for your help.

It should be considerably longer and more complicated than three dots.
Close regedit
Open TB
Enter the registration code
Close TB
Open regedit and see whether the registrationblock has been altered.

No there isn't a change in the registrationblock.  It's still the same.  :-(

Well as before, I did get the program fixed again by doing something with a clean of the registry (not sure what I did), so I quickly took the liberty of copying/saving the information in the data field of the registrationblock in case I lose it again.  However, during that time I also received a message from the RITLABS ticket counter.  This is their suggestion in case anyone else comes across this problem and a solution is needed:

1. Uninstall The Bat!: it is necessary to remove it from the Program Files directory and in the registry delete the RIT folder under \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT

2. Install The Bat!. Enter the registration code.

Don't forget to make a backup before uninstalling the program (Menu->Tools->Backup)
