Fast backup, How i can?

When i use the 'backup' option I need wait many many minutes to complete it (my backup is 6gb).

Why I can't backup (and restore) directly my email directory in 'c:\program files\the bat!\mail' ?

In fact you can, and that's the best way.
Just don't use the poor built-in backup tool. Use either whatever archiver (rar, 7zip etc.) or simply make a copy of that folder.
