Am I the only one who is satisfied?

Seems there are so many problems with TheBat here.  I have set it up for Gmail and Yahoo/Verizon email and all seems to work just fine.  Purchased AntiSpamSniper plugin which also works as it's supposed to.  So far TheBat Pro seems to be a very good investment.  Least I like a lot.

It's always the same on forums and support lists. The people who've got problems are posting, the people withoput problems don't need any support.

I've been using TB since 2000 and I've got a message base containing more than 115000 messages in over 100 folders, automatically sorted by 100+ filters. In all those years I've never lost a message.
You don't see me posting any posts about my satisfaction with TB, I'm taking that for granted. ;-)

I agree.  Just that it's hard finding good software and this certainly qualifies as good software.  Hopefully I will have many years of enjoyment from it.  Be well!!!!

Hi, I am using the TB since 2002 and have never found the need to check or use other email clients as TB is the best. I have never faced any issues and have approx. 150 filters and about 400 folders with about 100,000 + emails. I am using with Yahoo Business Mail but intend to migrate to Google Apps soon.

It is the best email client i have come across even though the HTML emails are not so good.

there's no software without problems, you'll see pretty much the same picture in every support forum.
I myself use theBat since version 1.62r, don't even remember when that was, and I'm very satisfied. Have used many mail apps, and no one comes even close to theBat in terms of features and efficiency. As I deal with email alot, TheBat probably saves me one hour every day compared to if I use another mail app.

For what it's worth, I agree with the sentiments here.
A few initial problems, generally caused by my not understanding things and all readily sorted out by RIT.
Great program and on the whole, great customer support.
Have just upgraded to PRO - that might give me some fun for a time and I understand ther ins and outs of THAT as well.

I too have been using The Bat! for around 10 years having originally moved from Outlook Express because I wanted a client that could receive emails as text rather than html.  I have to use Outlook at work and even the latest manifestation looks neolithic compared with The Bat!  I have occasionally looked at other clients such as Thunderbird but in terms of flexibility and features they are not in the same league.

The Bat! is also helped by a number of posters on this forum who have been solving users' problems (including mine) for many years.  I would particularly like to thank Roelof Otten whose expertise, and unceasing patience and courtesy even in response to some quite rude and aggressive postings, never ceases to amaze me.

I also have been using The Bat for many years with great pleasure and safety. I have many accounts, many filters, and I have never encountered any problem whatsoever.
I recently bought my first "real" laptop (I own a netbook as well, but it's mainly to carry around when I need something handy) and I bought another licence of The Bat, I can't stand the other email program, there's always something missing, something not working.
Long Live The Bat!! :)

How many IT helpdesk staff get a call like  "Hi Bob here, no problems just wanted to say everything is working fine thanks"  :D

Been a TB user myself since 2004 myself - Top program, performs faultlessly.
Keep up the good work
Cheers

I am also too satisfied with thebat ( I use Voyager ). With outlook 2010, I was tempted to use it ( it looks nice )but I found it too hard to detach from TheBat. I keep using thebat with full satisfaction; however, like many others, I have suggestions to improve it more!

what do u guys filter ?

Could u give me some examples ?

- I tried to filter my emails, so it filtered mails from curtain person into those folder from that person. Somehow I didnt think I got that much overview.

So wondering what u guys do in Pro and so on.

I have been using Bat! in 10 years as well, and love it. I have 10 accounts, and no problems.

What I filter? Almost everything.
I'm filtering mail from mailing lists to there own folder, same for news letters.
Those folders have got their own properties, so I can define how many messages from that list I want to keep or for how long.
My friends, relatives, collegues, etc are all listed in the matching address book groups, I filter against those address book groups, so when I check my mail and find 100 messages I can pick the important ones first.
And more of that kind of stuff.
Messages that need an automatic response (another program has to be started, some info needs to exported to a separate file, a response message needs to be sent immediately) all get that because they trigger their matching filter.

I started with TB because I needed some messages to be printed automatically when they came in, back then I couldn't find another client that offered that option. Nowadays I don't need that anymore, but TB does so much more for me.

i am satisfied too. But i need calendar application which will be integrated with the Bat. I hope in future the Bat will provide us. Right now i have to use separate calendar application. Last of all look and feel should be changed. When i use in windows 7, the Bat look and feel is not comfortable.

Have used many a email client - but, found that none could hold a candle to The Bat! Pro (not even Microsoft Outlook 2010 ProPlus which I now use for Calendar, Appointments and other Events.)

cheers,

I would just like to add to my previous post that recently (just before the release of v5) I had a problem with TB which I reported to Ritlabs and I was extremely impressed by the lengths to which they went to try to reproduce the issue and find out what was causing it.  Although ultimately unsuccessful (and we both agreed it was not worth pursuing further as the problem was more of an annoyance than a show-stopper) the level of service they provided was excellent especially considering that my total outlay for the software (original purchase and upgrade) equates to something like $7 per year - something the "I've paid for it" whingers should bear in mind.
