Losing messages during MOVE operation

I am attempting to move messages from one account to another. I am selecting the messages in a folder on one account, and dragging and dropping them into a folder of another account. However, some messages are getting LOST. I may start with 100 messages, but only 90 show up in the new folder, and the old folder is empty.
If it matters, the first account is POP, the second IMAP.
What is happening here?

Additional info -
The IMAP account is gmail, and some messages just refuse to move over from my other account into the gmail account folders, and TheBat! seems to get "!5/15/2010, 21:32:30: IMAP - 1: Server closed connection" type message from the server whenever I try.

I have seen this too but in a slightly different context. I see this a lot when sending mail. After the send, the threads that's supposed to copy from the outbox to SentMail folder deletes from the outbox but doesn't manage to put it in the sent items folder. I just get an error sound as it fails.

I put it down to IMAP handing. I have posted a number of times about IMAP threads dying because they have selected a folder with an empty name. They're working on it apparently but it's been a while and I haven't seen any updates that address IMAP.

Cheers

This is an issue with IMAP and The Bat, reported many times. Couple of things that help:
- change the timeout to 120 seconds
- do a copy to gmail (not move)
- do a purge/compress prior and after

Seems the IMAP caching may have something to do with the issue. I have disabled IMAP caching and followed the three step above and have much better results. YMMV.

Version 5 of The Bat! will have completely new IMAP support, and such problems won't occur.
