New Version for The Bat !

Hi,

It has been quite sometime that a new version is yet to come from The Bat! which has been quite unusual. When is this expected and what would be probable new features. I was looking for the 2 line subject view just like the Outlook.

From past years... wait until christmas. Seems there is a new version released just before and then another a few weeks later. Tend to wait until Feb to upgrade due to little buglets.

Version 5 is in Alpha testing right now - they are fixing all the IMAP bugs at this point
No official time for beta testing. (I am just a user and that is all I know about it)  :D

Great if available!  :)

Having just switched to Mac, and knowing that TB! isn't going to be ported, I was wondering if RitLabs had thought of launching a hosted version of TB! so that it's web-based and operating system independent.

I would love to have this feature also.

The last update was on 13-May-2010 (The Bat! Voyager 4.2.36.4)

Its been almost been 6 months since an update and now we are in the 7th month.

there is already 118th build of 5.0 version available for betatesters and this is longest period for any major version of The Bat! ever. But there are many core and architectural changes, so it is not yet ready for release.

I have been checking regularly for the update as usually this time of the year there is always an updated version available. Would love to see - the 2 line subject view just like the Outlook.

Thanks Marek

Just a user prediction - iirc there was a GMail franchise with the The Bat logo on 'thebatmail.net' or something like that... Never used
it because I already have gmail, but because of this excisting, service I don't think an online version of The Bat! is a priority, or even something Ritlabs will be working on... Could be wrong of course, though.. :)

One reason I can't go for Mac OS is that there is no compatible TB for this OS. It's sad to have no alternative but choosing whether Mac OS or TheBat!  :(

I have the same problem.  I have to use a Virtual Machine running Windows inside of OSX just for TheBat!  This sucks.  If TheBat! could run natively in OSX, I could dump Windows altogether.
