I can't return to 4 version

I'm China user, i install 5.0 yesterday and found some problem, i can't paste text, and other problem.

I can't install the version 4. Any body know how to fix that? Thanks.

I try to install version 4 and cover current 5.0, it fail, i tried many times.  :(

Hi,

Pls install ver 4.2.44 on a different directory and change the data folder to the one that is on ver 5 and it would work. You cannot cover from 4 to 5.

You can also delete the ver 5 and keep the data folders and once having done that reinstall ver 4.2.44.

In order to downgrade to V4, did you try replacing the 'thebat.exe' in the installation directory of your new V5 to the older 'thebat.exe' from the previous V4?

If you're trying the above procedure, suggest you backup the files concerned. The default installation directory as you probably would already know is in the following locations:-
C:\Program Files\The Bat!

The only proper way to revert to v4 is by uninstalling v5 and then installing v4 while pointing it to the same mail directory.

I had to downgrade to ver 4 after hitting bugs.

This is probably not recommended but I made copy first of the The Bat folder, then deleted the TheBat exe file in the folder, then reinstalled ver 4 in the same place using the repair option of the install routine. Works fine for me.

FWIW, I also successfully (at least I hope so, knock on wood) downgraded by deleting thebat.exe and installing thebat_pro_4-2-44.msi. Didn't even have to use repair.

So far, so good. I didn't have to use repair either.

I also succeed, delete thebat.exe first, and install 4.2. It feel good, i won't upgrade any more.

Anyone who downgraded to version 4 experiencing problems with postponed sending?

I have %POSTPONE="15m" inside my new message template.

It used to work fine, but now I keep getting "no argument for format '%s'"

Anyone got a fix? If this has been posted earlier, please point me to the right thread thanks.
