Winmail.dat attchement, Attachment type unknown

Whenever we are getting email from Outlook user we get unknown attachment type called "winmail.dat" ? how to open it ?

It's a badly configured Outlook that sends something like that, but this is one program to open it: http://www.eolsoft.com/freeware/winmail_opener/

We have tried the given link software but this software is threat to computer it installs lot of other software even if we decline to install.

Send your contacts this link: http://email.about.com/od/outlooktips/qt/Prevent_Winmail_dat_Attachments_from_Being_Sent_in_Outlook.htm
That way they won't send it again.
And try this one as a reader: http://www.kopf.com.br/winmail/
I used  to use something else as winmail.dat reader, but I can't find that right now. I don't have any contacts that use it anymore.
For more info google for winmail.dat

Was using Microsoft Outlook 2003 and then subsequently 2007 for many years and no matter how it was configured there was at least one Recipient who would complain of the 'winmail.dat' attachment issue. Even that tutorial at about.com is not 100% fail-safe.

Despite having the latest Outlook 2010, the 'winmail.dat' issue is one of the reasons for my switch from Microsoft Outlook to The Bat! Pro.

TB is one of email clients supporting TNEF format since v4, file is decoded automatically, so text and attachments You see were extracted from winmail.dat already.
