Is there a really-good AV plugin ?

While I read that Kaspersky supposidly reads the incoming email, I find that somewhat erroneous. Last week I got a warning from kaspersky about Virus in attachments of three emails,  a day or two after the messages were downloaded ... certainly not near-real-time now is it?
