Can't connect to email servers after updates, Can't connect to email servers and upgrading to 7.2 (64 bit) and installing Win 10 Anniversary update

Title/Description says it all. Updated to v7.2 64 bit. Then a couple of days later, upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 10 Anniversary.

No errors during either upgrade.

Now when I go to check for email, I keep getting "could not connect to the server".

Most of my mail is with Rackspace. Checked with them - no issues. Can get to Rackspace webmail with no issues. Here is the log:

Created a ticket this morning, going on 12 hours and still no response.
Can someone please assist?

Is this a known issue with the new Win 10 update?

Could a firewall be blocking The Bat?

I have the same issue !!!
The bat doesn't work anymore.
It's working well on Thunderbird !

WTF ???

Having the same issue.

Same issue after installing Windows 10 Anniversary update ...

How can we reproduce this error? I have just installed the Windows 10 Anniversary update and got no error connecting to the server that you have specified. Windows Defender is turned "on" (Real-Time Protection), no exclusions, all settings by default.

DNS resolution works....
is it possible to have more log from Thebat for the reason of connexion error ?

Problem solved by reverting the Anniversary Update, but I do not think that it is an optimal solution.

I can't think of any other cause than a malfunctioning firewall.

Are you guys running Zonealarm? It wasn't compatible with the Win 10 Anniversary update, but they have issued an upgrade on July 31.

I've opened an issue on bt.ritlabs.com.

The admin had tested. I wait for feedback.

I've disabled all firewall. DNS resolve works fine. No idee of problem if the log are poor.
Only a "fetch mail error" without reason.

It's an urgent blocking problem.

Thank's for a patch or fast solution. I can't work here. :(

If you want to see the full communication between The Bat and the mail server (well, its attempt to communicate), you could use a free network monitoring tool like Wireshark. See https://www.wireshark.org/

I've found the problem !
Antispamsniper was the source of problem.
I've updated the tools and it works now !

Glad to hear that you found the cause and solved the problem! I hope this explains it for the other users, too.

Had the same problem, updating Antispamsniper to version 3.3.2.7 solved it for me, sorry didn't see what the version was before doing it.

Hi just wanted to confirm.. I had the same issue.. AntispamSniper was the source!

Thank you

Updated to Windows 10 Anniversary and upgraded to TB 7.3.6 64 bit from v 6. Could not get TB to send mail with google and send/receive with outlook.com account. Tried various things: turned off firewall; do not use antispam sniper. Got these messages:
  •  IMAP - Folder doesn't exist. (Failure); or
  • Server reports error. The response is: 5.7.3 Requested action aborted' user is not authenticated

Have switched to 32 bit version and that is working OK.
