Delay sending e-mail

Where would I go in settings to delay sending an e-mail for 8 hours?

Also is there a setting to send Parked messages on Startup?

Or is there a setting to send messages inside the Outbox at Startup?

Very strange, there doesn't seem to be this function to delay sending messages for several hours.
I came up with another strategy to get around this using an external program.

The Bat! has macro named %POSTPONE or %DELAY. You can delay sending at different time, see https://www.ritlabs.com/en/support/tips_and_tricks.php?ELEMENT_ID=3841

I use The Bat v8.3 with the plain text (MicroEd) messages editor.

When I write a message or a reply, the editor's 'Options' menu has a 'Send Timing' command that lets you postpone when the message will be sent.

Thanks Zygmunt I found this feature but the delay is quite limited in time (minutes).

Thank you very much Daniel for this tip. I will use it in the future.
I just made a up a test e-mail to see how it would work, but one thing is confusing.
After I wrote the e-mail and went into the Options/Send Timing ...
and set a time and clicked OK I was back with the e-mail.

Now I didn't know what to do?
Do I click 'Send'?
Do I click 'Save message as draft'?

I'll tell you how I solved the problem yesterday.
I created a task in Windows Task Manager that would start The Bat at a certain time.
I just had to make sure that the e-mail account was set up to check for mail AND send mail

at the same time. So when The Bat was started up, it sent the mail at my desired time.  :)

I'm using 11.4.1.
open the message editing window by creating a new message - compose a message
Click the dropdown arrow beside the send message icon
you can choose from the following options

immediately
+ 15 minutes
+ 1 hour
Next Day
Custom - (day and time)
Postponed Sending defaults

Why don't you just write a message to yourself and see what happens?

Thanks Daniel that was a good idea.
I clicked on Send and immediately received a pop-up advising me of the delay before sending.

Thanks very much Doug. I'm using v. 8.8.9 and I have the same feature you mentioned above.
I'm not sure when it was added but it's probably been there for many years and I just never
knew about it.  :)
