Further info regarding this situation, as first reported on March 12th (to which there have not been any solutions provided).
All my accounts are set to a Server Timeout of 60 seconds, most of my accounts are set to check EMail every 5 minutes.
On a regular basis, TheBat! hangs, and must be shut down and restarted.
Taking a clue from another topic, I turned on 'Protocol Logging'; below are some excerpts from the POP.log file of my most active EMail account. Some info has been obfuscated in the interests of security.

As you can see, in all three instances, TheBat! was able to initially connec to to the EMail server, and even get beyond that point sometimes. Then, the connection hangs, and the program must be shut down an restarted.
If the server time-out function worked properly, the session should time-out and retry five minutes later.
I could readily accept the time-out and retry, but it is a pain to have to shutdown the application when I notice that it has gone 20 minutes, or so, and hasn't been able to proceed with standard operations.
Version 3.98.4, Win XP-Pro with all updates installed, Satellite Internet connection.
