The Bat Support, Support?
 
I have just sent this msg to support.  Is anyone else having trouble getting a bit of help?

"I tried to do a backup and restore.  The restore failed with an error msg that indicated there was an error in the backup file.

"Gentlemen, it has been 5 days since I asked for help and I have had no response at all.

"Is this really the kind of reputation you want?

Roelof, I understand forums.  Perhaps I wasn't clear.  That was a msg I sent to Ritlabs support.  I am asking if anyone else has tried to use the Ritlabs support team recently and not received any reply.

Some years ago the Ritlabs site went down and took a while to get back up. But it looks active now. Since the few times I've ever asked The Bat support people a question I've always had a prompt and helpful answer, I find this silence puzzling.  So I was/am curious if anyone else has experienced the same lack of response recently.

At the same time, I would most certainly appreciate any suggestions from users about my problem.  I cannot open any msgs created prior to installing version 4.2.4 and backups fail simply reporting that there was an error in the backup. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software.  I remain puzzled.

What version did you use creating those backups?
